Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We also collect your birth year to verify you are 18 or older. You may optionally provide a Discord or Reddit username for contact purposes.
Conversation Data: When you use the Service, we store your chat messages and AI-generated responses. Our system automatically extracts and stores "memories" — key facts and details from your conversations — to enable persistent character memory across sessions.
Google Account Data: If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and display name from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.
Technical Data: We collect basic server logs including IP addresses and timestamps for security and debugging purposes. We do not use cookies. Authentication is handled via browser local storage.
Analytics Events: We track anonymized usage events (such as registration, login, and session starts) to improve the Service. We do not use any third-party analytics services.

Your chat messages are sent to DeepSeek (a third-party AI provider) for generating character responses. DeepSeek processes your messages to generate responses but we do not share your account information (email, username, password) with them. If you use Google Sign-In, authentication is processed through Google's OAuth service. See Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. We use industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
